Clear Vision: What I see for 20/20
Happy New Decade! Happy 2020!
Lord Jesus, I put You first this decade, I put You first this year, I put You first this day, I put You first in this moment. I really want You first in all things! Help me to keep You first and seek You first. Help me to love you Lord with ALL of my heart, ALL of my soul, ALL of my mind, ALL of my strength, ALL of me and to love others well. I want every day of this decade to be set apart for You and to be filled with Your Kingdom’s purpose. Let Your will be done in and through me, let your Kingdom come, right here in Taylorsville just as it is in Heaven. Let me worship You in Spirit and in Truth, and raise up a generation that will worship You and live to make Your name known rather than their own. This decade help us to live selflessly and surrendered to You. Make us holy and prepare us for a habitation of Your Presence and not just a visitation. Help us to be ready to host Your Presence and to make Your Power known in every way! Make us carriers of Your good news to the ends of the earth. Help us to be found watching, waiting, and ready for Your return Jesus and to be found faithful doing all that You have called us to do.
“I see a generation, standing on the Truth, in each and every nation! God is on the Move!”
I see sons and daughters rising up to take their place in You. I see true worshippers who come to worship You not for what You will do or what You give, but come solely for the purpose of pouring out a sacrifice of praise. Not for the approval of man, to fill stadiums with fans, or to entertain anyone. I see true worshippers who come only for the purpose of being before Your Throne and giving all the glory and honor to You and You alone. I see sons and daughters full of the Power of Your Holy Spirit and fully rooted and grounded in Your Word and Your Truth. Not the shifting thoughts and opinions of man or of this world, but deeply planted in the foundation of Your Word which never fails or changes. I see a global movement in the rising generation to call the Bride to repentance and holiness to prepare for the coming of our Lord. He is coming for a pure and spotless Bride and the process of purifying us is necessary even though it’s sometimes quite painful. I see homes restored and families who are set apart for You. I see fathers leading their sons and daughters and their homes, I see mothers teaching their children to pray and intercede. I see the family unit flourishing as they walk in God’s perfect design and His purpose. I see communities transformed through families that are fully surrendered to God’s call. I see a nation turning to the Creator as we seek Him for Who He is and not for what He gives or what He does. I see a returning to the Lord where our hands are up in surrender and worship rather than held out for what we think we deserve to receive. I see a returning to the call that Jesus left us with.
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. ” Matthew 28:18-20
This is what I see with my Kingdom eyes. My prayer is that I will have clear Kingdom vision and that I will see the things of Jesus clearly. I want perfect 20/20 vision for the things that are eternal and the things that will remain. As the beautiful hymn says, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” When we see this temporary life in the light of eternity, everything else fades and grows dim in comparison to the greatness of glory of our Great and Mighty God! In order to know and to do the things of the Kingdom, I must take time to know Him through His Word. Jesus showed us what the Father does in how He lived His life right here on earth.
Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
What if I only did what I see the Father do? Jesus watched the Father, He kept His eyes on Him and then instructs us through His Word to do the same.
“…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2
In 2020, and every year to come, turn your eyes to Jesus. Fix them on Him, the one who has written every day of your life and the one who will perfect His story and Who declares the end from the beginning. He has a plan and you can trust that He will work it all, the good and the bad, together for His purpose to give you HOPE and a Future.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:11-14
Happy New Year~ may it be the best one yet!
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free
He passed, and we follow Him there
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are
Believe Him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
His perfect salvation to tell
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
